Event Description

This half term, visit us to learn about traditional boats and the traditional skills used to build them.

Take inspiration from Scotland's maritime heritage, including ring net fishing boats built in Cockenzie and paddle steamers built on the Clyde, and make your own model boat to sail using paper and paper straws.

Then have a go at sailing your boats on water, using straws to create extra wind.

Additional information: Parental/guardian supervision is required for the duration of the activity. This activity is suitable for ages 5+.
