Engine Shed Survey - Privacy Notice

This privacy notice is for those completing our survey about the Engine Shed’s digital channels.

HES is committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This privacy notice explains how HES collects, uses and shares the personal data provided in connection with the Engine Shed survey and your rights in relation to such personal data.

In this privacy notice, “HES”, “we”, “our” and “us” refers to Historic Environment Scotland “You” and “Your” refers to the person competing our survey.

Personal data

We will not be collecting your personal details as part in this survey, other than a voluntary email address if you would like to be sent a receipt and PDF copy of your survey results.

This email address is only used to email you a copy of your survey responses and we do not store this email address. It is only used for processing purposes if you want a copy of your submission.

All survey responses are anonymous.

Usage of personal data

The personal data we collect from you will be used to support the future content development, digital channels and training outputs from the Engine Shed.

The lawful basis for which HES will collect personal data in respect of the survey is legitimate interests.

Third party processing and security of your data

We are using Delib, a consultation management system, to create this survey. We require Delib, like all third parties, to respect the security of the your personal data and only permit them to process your personal data in accordance with our instructions for a specified purpose. Information you provide will be stored by Delib and HES.

Storage of personal data

We will store your survey response for 2 months following the end of the survey.

Delib, our third-party processor, will store responses for 60 days and then delete them.

Your personal data will be stored in the UK and will not be transferred outside of the EEA. You can see more information about how Delib process your personal data in Delib’s privacy notice.

You have the right to access your data, receive a copy of it, request corrections or removal and object to the processing of it.
